Hey, I'm Gus.

I’m Gustavo Souza, but everyone calls me Gus. A Brazilian Senior Art Director based in São Paulo, currently at AlmapBBDO.

I’m interested in ideas that don’t ask for permission, the kind that feel slightly uncomfortable at first, hard to explain in a deck, and impossible to ignore once they exist. From giving mutts an official pedigree in Brazil, to renaming a volcano in the middle of the Indian Ocean, to hijacking the Oscars with a Yanomami statue, I focus on ideas that live in culture, not just in media plans.

Some of these ideas have been recognized by Cannes Lions, The One Show, Clio and D&AD, including a Titanium Lion at Cannes. Others just travel far enough to become part of the conversation and culture. I care about both.

What excites me most is the moment when an idea seems too big, too risky, or too strange to work, and pushing until it does. That’s where I like to work.
